Duck and her baby duckling

In a small creek in North Canterbury New Zealand this photo of a mother duck with her baby duckling heading down the stream was taken on a summers day. During spring and the early months of summer you can see many baby ducks or Ducklings in the lakes, rivers and ponds around Christchurch and Canterbury, New Zealand. Many people will take a nice walk to their local park or nature reserve and feed bread to the many friendly ducks. If you sit still it is possible for a duck to eat the food from your hand
