Town house construction timber frame work

This photo shows a townhouse being built, the wood frame work is complete and now the exterior cladding can be added. Christchurch has a large demand for residential buildings and with the land prices expensive there are more townhouses like this one being built. A townhouse can have all the convenience of a large Christchurch home but with less yard and less land so the price of the house is less.
